Myrtle Wardman


Myrtle took art classes at Markham District High School, received a certificate in Drawing and Painting from Northern Secondary School in Toronto, learned to paint in oils at Irene Bratton's studio in Unionville and studied Life Drawing at Seneca College. Myrtle was also a member of the Markham Group of Artists and attended many local workshops.

In 1997, Myrtle moved to Cobourg, where she attended watercolour classes with Rosemary Freeman. She subsequently took classes in watercolour and oils with Doug Mays and Lucy Manley at Belleville's Loyalist College.

Myrtle is a member of the Pine Ridge Art Association and has participated in shows with this group. Her work can be found in collections in Canada and the United States.
