Greta Fazil
Growing up in rural/small towns in Southern Ontario left Greta with visual memories that she draws upon for her watercolour paintings. After working and raising two children, Greta and her husband decided to spend their retirement in Cobourg.
Her interest in art was stirred in high school when she had the opportunity to take art.
While raising her children, she took lessons with watercolourist Donna Cameron of Prince Edward County.
It was here she found that watercolour was the most satisfying and challenging art medium, along with life drawing. |

Mostly self-taught, Greta continued to explore her artistic expression. She received a Commercial Art Certificate at George Brown College and has taken a variety of art classes and workshops over the years, including ones from OCAD and PRAA. She is greatly influenced by the Group of Seven and the Impressionists.
As an active member of Pine Ridge Art Association (PRAA), her artwork can be seen at the club's art shows and in private collections.
